I work in tech support for a company that makes produce software. Today I had a call with a fruit grower and I noticed that they sold a ton of apples so I asked if he had any cosmic crisps (which I can’t find where I live). He takes his webcam and points out the window to an entire cosmic crisp orchard. Then he says: “I hate the cosmic crisp.” Imagine my shock and horror. He then goes on to explain: “They’re inconsistent, you get one and it’s the best apple you’ve ever had and then the next one is all mealy.” That’s why the boys’ reviews are all over the place. They are playing apple roulette and we know how their gambling goes.
Are there any current/former French Truck Coffee employees in this sub? Virtually every other weekend I order the croissant sandwich and I’m honestly obsessed with tomato jam/compote stuff that comes on it. Sadly, I’m moving out of state at the end of the month and I can’t imagine my life without it. Does anyone know if they buy that spread pre-made (can I buy it myself?) or do they make it in-house (can I get the recipe?)? TIA for making my (hopefully temporary) move out of the big easy a little easier!

Hey Everyone! I wont be giving much away about who I am and who I work with but I worked on The Nevers S1 Pt2 (this is a throw away accnt for this post as NDA's are serious in the film/TV industry). Personally I didn't watch S1 Pt1 and don't know everything about Pt2 but what I can say is it was filmed and had VFX and post work done on it early this year, it is a shame about what WB has been doing thorwing projects in the bin as countless people work that they don't just get payed for but are also are passionate about and to see fan's dissapointed is a real shame. Unfourtnetly WB seems to be in the business rn of just vaulting projects that don't seem profitable so I cant say that theyll change there mind and relaese it tommorow but not to dissapoint there was some awsome stuff in this that hopefully will be seen one day. A few sequences that I am aware of were great and had a lot of time spent on it by the VFX team, the chamber with the alien galanthi egg had a big scene where it hatches and there was alot of FX work put into the desctruction with rocks falling (side note the origanil look of this set from Pt1 was Digatal Matte Painting but a new VFX team did a full 3D scene for the destruction and hatching of the egg). The galanthi alien create or tadpole we called it was a awsome creatue that was see though and had glowing organs/internals and there was good looking shot's with it in water, there was also a sequence of the future with it grown up???? As said I have never seen the first part so alot of this didn't make alot of sense but it was awsome work that unfortently is being shelved but if anything it was filmed, VFX work and post work done. Hold hope and show support and it might make the light of day one day. I am hesitant to post this but I feel that what WB is doing is a blight on the film/TV industry and shouldn't be a thing that can continue, these cancelled projects aren't bad TV pilots but full projects with love and passion put into them.
This is probably a long shot- anyone have some insider information about Big D launching a new 20v framing nailer? Or have an opinion on a solid option?
I am going to pull the trigger on a cordless framer here in the next couple weeks. Dewalt’s current doesn’t do it for me, although if I lowered my expectations I suppose I could make it work. I’m looking for something as close to performance of pneumatic as I can get and I think the dewaltski is about the furthest. Right before the cordless paslode anyway, which isn’t even an option. Senco’s marketing and some videos I saw looked pretty good but I have yet to speak to or hear from anyone that’s used one, online or irl. I think I’m leaning towards Milwaukee, if I have to buy into a second battery platform, I think I’d rather go red to supplement my yellow collection. Lots of cool tools that dewalt still doesn’t have. Unless of course Dewalt’s got a rampless gun in the works 👉👈
